VAU Nutrition is building a premium wellness brand designed for the next generation of consumers — combining clean science, emotional connection, and daily rituals that help people reconnect with what truly sustains them.

Short-form video will be one of the main drivers of our growth.

We are building a powerful content engine that continuously produces high-performing short-form videos for organic discovery and paid advertising.

To support this system, we are hiring a Senior Short-Form Video Editor specialized in editing social-first video.

This role requires full professional fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).

This position is designed for editors who understand social-native content and audience retention — not traditional cinematic editing.

Role Overview

The Senior Short-Form Video Editor will transform raw footage from founders, internal team members, and freelance UGC creators into high-performing social videos.

These videos will be used for:

• TikTok

• Instagram Reels

• YouTube Shorts

• Paid advertising creatives

The ideal candidate understands that modern editing is not only about aesthetics — it is about attention, retention, and emotional connection.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Video Editing

Edit high-impact short-form videos optimized for social platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• creating strong hooks within the first seconds

• editing with dynamic pacing and rhythm

• optimizing videos for audience retention

• adding captions, overlays, and visual elements

• adapting content formats for different platforms

Content Optimization

Transform raw footage into engaging short-form content.

This includes:

• improving storytelling structure

• strengthening hooks and openings

• enhancing emotional engagement

• creating multiple variations for testing

Professional Color & Visual Finishing

Apply professional-level finishing including:

• color correction and color grading

• visual consistency aligned with brand identity

• clean and polished visual output suitable for premium brands

Videos should maintain a premium visual standard while still feeling native to social platforms.

Creative Testing

Create multiple versions of video content for testing.

Examples include:

• different hooks

• different openings

• different captions

• different storytelling sequences

The goal is to identify formats that drive engagement and conversion.

Content Production Expectations

This role supports the company’s content engine and requires producing a consistent volume of short-form videos.

Typical weekly output:

• 20–30 short-form videos per week

• variations for creative testing

• adaptations for organic and paid content

Content should feel authentic, dynamic, and social-native, not like traditional commercial production.

Required Skills

• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)

• Strong experience editing short-form social content

• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form storytelling

• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut

• Strong skills in color correction and color grading

• Excellent sense of pacing, hooks, and retention structure

• Ability to produce high-quality content quickly and consistently

AI & Modern Editing Workflows

Candidates must be comfortable using AI tools that accelerate editing and content production.

Examples may include:

• AI caption tools

• AI video enhancement

• AI-assisted editing workflows

• generative AI tools used in content production

We value editors who actively explore new technologies to improve speed and creative experimentation.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• editing content for consumer brands

• editing creatives used in paid advertising campaigns

• working with UGC footage or influencer content

• experience in fast-moving startups or digital brands
