About High Scale
We’re High Scale — a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising on TV and social media. Think Amazon’s obsession with customer experience meets SpaceX’s fearless ambition—that’s the DNA behind everything we do.
Our 120-person team of creatives, strategists, and innovators produces thousands of high-impact campaigns weekly for the world’s leading lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios and a global influencer network, we’re ready to 10x our output in 2026—and we need a
UGC Video Editor who can take raw creator footage and turn it into high-converting, "scroll-stopping" ads.
Why This Role Matters
Authenticity, pacing, and performance are your playground. As a UGC Video Editor, you are the bridge between a raw influencer review and a profitable ad campaign. You understand that in 2026, a polished cinematic commercial often loses to a well-edited, authentic-looking TikTok shot on an iPhone.
Your job is to craft the narrative, nail the hook, and apply the specific editing language of the internet (captions, sounds, pacing) to drive sales. If you are obsessed with why some videos go viral and others flop, this is your launchpad.
What You’ll Do
- Transform Raw Assets into Ads
- Ingest raw footage from creators and influencers (testimonials, unboxings, demos) and craft them into cohesive direct-response video ads.
- Structure edits around proven marketing frameworks (Hook → Problem → Solution → Social Proof → CTA).
- Ensure the "vibe" feels native to the platform (TikTok/Reels/Shorts), avoiding the "over-produced" look that kills engagement.
- Master the "Hook"
- Create multiple variations of the first 3 seconds of every video to test what grabs attention best.
- Utilize visual disruption, sound effects, and trending audio to prevent viewers from scrolling past.
- Apply Native Visuals
- Implement platform-native text styles, dynamic captions (e.g., Alex Hormozi style), emojis, and stickers that enhance the storytelling without looking cluttered.
- Clean up audio levels and apply basic color correction to ensure mobile viewing quality.
- Iterate at Speed
- Produce high volumes of iterations (e.g., same body, different hook; same hook, different music) to feed our testing machine.
- Respond quickly to data feedback from the media buying team (e.g., "Shorten the intro," "Make the text bigger").
Who You Are

- 1–3 years of experience editing UGC or social-first content (Agency or Freelance).
- You understand the "visual language" of TikTok and Instagram. You know what trending fonts, sounds, and cuts are working right now.

- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required for our agency workflow.
- Familiarity with CapCut features/styles and how to replicate them in Premiere is a massive plus.
- Basic skills in After Effects or Photoshop for static asset integration.
- A Storyteller
- You can take 20 minutes of rambling raw footage and cut it down to a sharp, persuasive 30-second story.
- You have a good sense of rhythm and comedic timing.
- Fast & Adaptable
- You are comfortable with high-volume workflows. You can churn out quality edits quickly.
- You don't get attached to your cuts—you iterate based on what the data says.
